Only the follicles being harvested are trimmed. Nothing about the operation is visible afterwards.
In a non-shaven case the donor area is not clipped. The follicles to be harvested are selected and trimmed individually before the operation, so the surrounding hair keeps its full length and falls over the extraction points immediately. For anyone who cannot take two weeks away from an office, this is the difference between having the operation and postponing it indefinitely.

Results differ between individuals depending on skin condition, age, number of sessions and aftercare, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
This page describes Non-Shaven FUE as performed at MONARA Dermatology Clinic. It is general information and not a substitute for a medical consultation. Suitability, graft count and expected outcome are determined individually after examination. Any surgical procedure carries risk, and outcomes differ between individuals depending on donor supply, scalp condition and aftercare.
Every plan begins with a one-to-one consultation. Tell us what you want to change and we will tell you honestly what is worth doing — and what is not.
