PRP is prepared from the patient's own blood and returned to the scalp, where it is used to support follicle recovery and hair calibre. At MONARA it is given as a programme rather than a single injection: scalp massage and scalp scaling first, then PRP, then regenerative scalp laser in the same visit. It is also given on the day of a transplant, as the first step of the aftercare schedule.
Suitability is assessed at consultation by Dr. Kim Dae-woo, who performs the treatment himself. Where a combination gives a better result than one approach alone, that is what is recommended — and where a treatment is not warranted, that is said plainly.
